Why kiwi can't fly.

Many, many years ago, on a frosty winter's afternoon, Kiwi decided to go for an afternoon fly to see his friends. As he flew, he crashed into a long branch, tumbled down to the ground and rolled in a snowball down the hill. Poor kiwi rolled faster and faster. He bumped his head on the icy ground. "Ouch! Ouch!" he moaned. Kiwi rolled down and down then crashed between 2 massive rocks. His wings got wedged under the rocks. He struggled to get out but he couldn't. He screamed for help but no one came. As he lay there, he imagined that a sabre-toothed tiger would come and eat him. He was so scared, he ripped his flying wings off so he was free. Now Kiwi couldn't fly. He walked slowly and sadly to his friend's house. But he didn't tell anyone about what had happened.

A Puzzle to Ponder

This term we are exploring the concept of Globalisation. The children in Room 1 have been looking at countries they are connected to. Today they had to piece the puzzles together to determine where our topic will be heading for the rest of the term. Can you spot the connection between the images on the puzzles?

Highlights of Term 2

Technology Day
We were learning about forces and motion and used this knowledge to design and create a moving toy. Thanks to all of the parents and caregivers who gave up their time to help.
